Found an incorrect result or an explanation that needs a clearer assumption? A reproducible example makes a correction easier to assess.

What to include

• The page address and the step that caused the problem.
• Thickness, width, length, units and quantity for an example board.
• The result displayed and the result you expected, with your arithmetic or source.
• Your browser and device if the issue concerns buttons, layout, print or CSV export.

Use invented or non-sensitive values where possible. Do not include passwords, payment details, customer records or a confidential purchase list.

Before comparing a supplier's tally

This calculator uses entered dimensions to estimate rectangular volume. If a lumberyard's total differs, check its nominal-thickness and rounding conventions first. Our rough and surfaced lumber guide explains the distinction.
