Privacy notice

This notice describes data handling by LumberMeasure. It applies to the calculator and the explanatory pages on this website.

Calculator entries and local exports

Board dimensions, quantities, prices and allowance choices are processed in your browser. The site does not submit these values to a calculation server or include them in site analytics events. There is no account, saved server-side project or calculator-input database.

A CSV file is generated by your browser for you to save locally. Printing opens your browser's print function. Using either feature does not upload your calculator list to us. You control any copy that you download, print or share.

Website hosting and request logs

The website is hosted by Hostinger. When you load a page, the browser makes network requests so the host can deliver website files. Hosting systems may process request information such as an IP address, requested page, time, browser information and errors for delivery, security and operations. Calculator field values are not placed in page URLs by this site.

Hosting-log handling and retention are determined by the hosting service and its settings. See Hostinger's privacy policy for information about the provider's processing.

Optional analytics and your consent

Google Analytics 4 is optional. If this website is configured to use it, analytics loads only after you affirmatively allow analytics. Declining analytics does not prevent calculation, CSV export, printing or reading the guides.

With analytics allowed, Google may receive page addresses, referral information, browser and device information, and events such as a successful calculation or export. The events do not contain entered dimensions, quantities, prices, allowances, or the calculated totals. Analytics can use cookies and related identifiers to measure visits and interactions.

The site stores your analytics preference in your browser so it can respect that choice on later visits. Use the site's cookie preferences control to change it. Clearing this site's browser storage also removes the saved preference. Withdrawing consent prevents future analytics loading or events from this site; it does not remove data already received by Google. Google's privacy policy explains its processing.

Advertising

No advertising is active on this version of the website. If advertising is introduced, this notice and the relevant consent controls will be updated before ads are enabled.

Links and messages

Guides link to outside sources. Those websites apply their own privacy practices when you visit them. If you choose to send an email using an available contact link, your email provider sends the contents you choose to include; the calculator does not attach your entries automatically.
